Great Gateways (GG) courses are large enrollment first- and second-year courses that serve as foundational pathways to a number of different majors and are crucial for success for a diverse group of students. The Office of the Provost, and the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning (CET&L) sponsors GG grants to enhance student success these courses. Projects may be centered on a theme such as social belonging, metacognition, active learning, Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, accessibility, technology, etc.
As a way to celebrate and share GG projects with the UC community, each faculty member or team shares a bit about their project and their progress via videos throughout the year. We hope you enjoy learning about what your colleagues are working on and perhaps can take something into your own teaching!
